Cloning, Removing and Editing Users

In Bellwether’s powerful User Management page, you can easily clone users (a quick way to add new users if they have the same access as a current user), remove users or edit their information if you have administrator access.

First, select the User Management page from the side menu on the Bellwether home page.

This will bring up a list of all users you’re in charge of, and give you options to edit them.

To clone a user, simply click the ‘copy’ button on the right side of the user’s options:

This will bring up a menu where you input the new users name and login. This new users available dashboards and admin rights will be the same as the clone targets dashboards and admin rights.

This saves a lot of time if you manage a large number of stores and wish to add access to all of them to a new person, for example.

You can input either the name of the specific person you would like to add or just a title (for example Sales Manager, or Taupo Branch).

The email address you put in will be both the address used to log in, and the address the login information will be sent to. They will receive a welcome email which gives their login information and a temporary password they can use to log in for the first time.

When you’re finished, click ‘Add User’ and the new user will receive an email with their login information immediately.

To edit User Information: Click the ‘edit button’ right next to the copy button on the right side of the user’s information. This will bring up the following menu:

Here you can change the name, login, default view and accessible views on an individual basis. To change the dashboards the user can access, click ‘edit views’.

This is also where you reset the user’s password, if their Login Name is an email address. If, like in the example above, the Login Name is not an email address, you will need to contact Bellwether support at support@marcomms.co.nz to change the password for you.

When you have finished editing the user’s information, click ‘Save Edits’ and the changes will be present the next time the user logs in.

To Delete a User: Click the trash can icon and confirm you wish to delete the user.

This is useful if a staff member leaves, or simply has no further need for Bellwether data. You cannot delete your own account, this will have to be done by another administrator.
