To add a new context element to a graph, go to the context menu which is found in the top right of the Bellwether home page.

When you click this the context menu will appear on the right side of the home page.

This example context menu shows two elements of context already added. Context is only displayed on this menu for 90 days, but context elements older than 90 days can still be viewed from the graph.

To add context information, click the ‘+’ symbol on the top left.

This will bring up a window which allows you to add a new element of context.

Name of Creator: Put in your name. Lets others see who is providing the information.

Pick Stores: Allows you to choose which store you are applying the context to. Most information will be for a single store, but if you wish you can apply this context to multiple stores- in the case of a Black Friday sale for example.

Select The Context Type: You can choose ‘marketing’, ’employee’, ‘weather’ or ‘external factors’. This is helpful for when you want to filter your context later.

Select your date range: You can select a single date or a range of dates from a minute to multiple months.

Comment: Here is where you will input the actual context information, such as the reason for a jump or dip in sales or footfall.

Once you’ve finished inputting data, click ‘Create Context’ and your context will appear in the context menu. It will also appear as a dot in every information graph above the context’s date.
